A challenging project due to a slender and non-linear shaped site. The “butterfly” roof hovers above the 2-part building and reinforces the unique oblique view of the surrounding natural landscape. A dramatic top down entry configuration best addresses the challenge of the site as well as defines a central circulation volume, off which the unique spaces of the house pivot and flow out.
Internal courtyards and living spaces are also softened by the use of tall hanging gardens.
